Can I open and close accounts via Internet Banking? Can I make account definitions or account changes for my Paracard?

You can open time deposit accounts, linked to your branch or branches, via Internet Banking in TL and foreign currency types for which you have a current account. By using Internet Banking, you can only close your current and time deposit accounts which you have opened via Internet Banking. Additionally, time deposit accounts opened via Internet Banking and have a balance up to TL 30.000 can be closed using Internet Banking. To close your time deposit account that have a balance of more than TL 35.000, you need to submit a request to your branch.

You can perform transactions regarding account definitions and account changes through the “Card Transactions / Paracard Transactions” step in Internet Banking.    
Add/Remove Account: You can define the accounts that you want to use on ATMs to your card or close previously defined accounts for use. From this step, you can make definitions for both your credit card and your Paracard. A maximum of 7 accounts can be linked to a card.
Change Main Account: Main account is the account that you can use on other banks’s ATMs, ATMs abroad and when making purchases with your Paracard. You can change the account that you want to use as your main account through this step. To change your main account, there must be at least 2 TL current accounts defined on your card. This step cannot be used for your credit cards as main account definitions are not possible for credit cards.

    To open your current or time deposit accounts and your credit cards for use in Internet Banking, you need contact the nearest Garanti BBVA branch.

    You can update your address, home or business phone number, fax, e-mail address and internet information via Internet Banking.
