        Support Program for Women Entrepreneurs

Our Holistic Support for Women Entrepreneurs Celebrates Its 20th Year

At Garanti BBVA, we have long recognized that the increased and active participation of women in the economy is vital for sustainable economic development and social progress. Guided by this belief, we have been supporting women entrepreneurs for 20 years through a comprehensive approach built on four key pillars: financing, encouragement, training, and access to new markets.

We took our first step in supporting women entrepreneurs in 2006 with the launch of the Women Entrepreneur Support Loan. We are also proud to be among the first banks in Türkiye to sign the United Nations Women's Empowerment Principles (WEPs), demonstrating our commitment to advancing gender equality and women’s economic empowerment.

To encourage women entrepreneurs and increase the visibility of their achievements, we organize the 20th Türkiye’s Women Entrepreneur Competition in collaboration with KAGİDER and Ekonomist Magazine. Through this initiative, we celebrate inspiring success stories and contribute to creating role models for future generations of entrepreneurs.

As part of our efforts to strengthen entrepreneurial capabilities, we launched the Women Entrepreneurs Academy of Türkiye in partnership with the Boğaziçi University Lifelong Learning Center in 2012. We also support women entrepreneurs in expanding their customer base and accessing new markets through our collaboration with Trade of Women, an initiative led by KAGİDER that promotes business opportunities among women-owned enterprises.

As we celebrate the 20th anniversary of our Women Entrepreneur Program, we remain committed to empowering more women through inclusive, sustainable, and impactful support. As an active stakeholder in Türkiye’s entrepreneurship ecosystem, we will continue to help women entrepreneurs access the resources, knowledge, networks, and opportunities they need to grow their businesses and create lasting value for society.
