Wheelchair Basketball

Carrying another step further its ongoing sponsorship to Turkish Basketball since 2001, Garanti BBVA has become the sponsor of women’s, men’s and youth National Wheelchair Basketball Teams in 2013.

As the sponsor Garanti BBVA aims to raise awareness and attract the public attention to Wheelchair Basketball and National Team’s success. In this context, as for 12 Giant Men and Pixies of the court, Garanti BBVA named wheelchair basketball national women’s team ‘12 Magical Wrists’ and to national men’s team ‘12 Brave Hearts’.

12 Brave Hearts had the Bronz Medal at 2014 World Wheelchair Basketball Championship, after ranking second in European Wheelchair Basketball Championship in 2013. Our National Team Players represented our country at 2016 Rio Paralympic Games and completed Paralympic Games in 4th place. In 2017, 12 Brave Hearts crowned their continuous achievements with becoming European Champion..

12 Magical Wrists made us proud, as the European B Division Champion in Italy in 2018.

U22 National Men’s Team achieved to be the European Champion two years in a row in 2017 and 2018 and proved how bright our future will be.
