How can I open a time deposit account?

If you do not have an account at Garanti BBVA yet, you can open an account by visiting the nearest Garanti BBVA branch along with your identity card and the documents below.

  • Certificate of Residency or
  • An invoice that requires subscription issued within the last 3 months or
  • A document issued by any governmental institution.

If you are already working with our bank, you can turn your existing current account into a time deposit account through the "Open An Account" step in Internet Banking or by calling Garanti BBVA Customer Communication Center and keying in 2.
If you are residing abroad and have a current account at our bank, you can open a time deposit account by faxing your request to your branch. If you do not have an account, you can visit our nearest branch and open an account by signing the "Banking Service Agreement". Initial account openings cannot be executed from abroad.

  1. Can I update information via Internet Banking? Can I open a current account via Internet Banking and Garanti BBVA Customer Communication Center?

    You can update your address, home or business phone number, fax, e-mail address and internet information via Internet Banking.

  2. What are the channels that I can carry out OGS/KGS transactions? If I apply for OGS/KGS through Alo Garanti, do I have to go the a Garanti bank branch to sign an agreement?

    To maintain a positive balance in your OGS device or KGS card, please make sure to have sufficient balance in your account or available limit in your credit card.
